Melt blown cloth has the characteristics of small pore size, high porosity and high filtration efficiency. As the core material for mask production, the current demand is far greater than the supply. Recently, related companies have switched to melt blown fabrics, but they do not have enough knowledge about the raw materials, equipment, and production processes used. The production efficiency of the melt blown fabrics is not high, and the quality cannot meet the needs of mask production.

At present, there are two relevant industry standards for melt blown fabrics in China, namely "Spun bond / Melt blown / Spun bond (SMS) Method Nonwovens" (FZ / T 64034-2014) and "Melt blown Nonwovens" (FZ / T 64078-2019). The former is suitable for SMS products that use polypropylene as the main raw material and reinforced by hot-rolled bonding; the latter is suitable for non-woven fabrics produced by melt-blown method. The end use is not limited to masks, and the standard is only for width, mass per unit area, etc. To put forward requirements, the standard values ​​of key indicators such as filtration efficiency and air permeability are stipulated by the supply and demand contract. At present, the production of melt blown fabrics by enterprises is mainly based on enterprise standards, but the relevant indicators are also uneven.
